This page has links to sites with homework pages. You can use them over and over or choose other sites on other dates. Don't be afraid if your child is on the phrase or sentence level, to take speech words and make up your own phrases or sentences. Some examples of common phrases to incorporate are:
"hello ..., goodbye..., my..., big ..., little..., her ..., his..., happy ..., sad...". The phrases don't have to make sense. In fact it's fun to have silly phrases. Sentences can be ones that are said over and over again (carrier sentences). Some carrier sentences could be "I see..., I have..., It is...., I like ....". A harder step would be unique sentences for each target word used. Another idea is use books to pick out words with your speech sounds or say the whole sentence that has a word with your speech sounds. Remember that the goal is to practice 5 minutes for 5 days. Be consistent as possible. This short consistent pattern is much more effective than 1 or 2 long practice sessions. |
